My name is Robyn Oliver. I was born and raised in Cape Town.
To say I love my city would be an understatement. I am IN LOVE with my city! The
balance between the city and outdoors life is simply picture perfect. I am happiest
when I am doing things that make me feel good, you know when you get that warm
fuzzy feeling inside. I am goal driven and objective focussed. My glass is
either filled to the top or half full, but I am always aiming to spill some
optimism around me. The idea is to find solutions, not highlight the problem.
My chosen field of study is Public Relations, as the possibilities are ENDLESS! My
vision is for others to realise that regardless of the choices they have made in
life, it’s never too late and their possibilities will forever remain endless
as long as they keep striving. Success is not measured by greatness, success is
when you able to beat the odds even though they are all stacked up against you.
Growing up I went to 2 Primary Schools, 2 High Schools,
and 2 Universities. (They do say things are better when done in two’s). :) This allowed me to
discover just how diverse Cape Town truly is. I met people from different
backgrounds and cultures, and at the time it may have seemed like a detriment
to be changing educational institutions , right now I am grateful as every
decision made in my life since birth, has brought me to this point in my life
thus far. I believe that everything happens for a reason, and sometimes the
reason may not be as clear as we would want it to be, but the reason is there.
Apart from my city, I love my family, my friends and I am a
religious dog lover. I enjoy photographing special moments so you can page back,
look at the picture and have all the same feelings return just as they were in
that specific moment.
I am always open to new ideas, appreciate a good adventure,
enjoy social interaction, and love creatively getting my hands dirty. People
that make positive differences in the world inspire me to strive to do my best.
I believe in motivating, inspiring and celebrating!
If I were in a Miss World Pageant and were asked what my dream
for the future would be, I would have to answer “World Peace” :)
